What are you passionate about?

I’m passionate about faith, life, health and wellness. The Lord has blessed us with what matters most. It isn’t materialistic things, even though they are nice to have. The older I get, wealth has been in my health. I have learned so much about nutrition and my health since 2015, after my infusion.

My passion is to help others as I was helped. To share my knowledge and expertise with others to help them understand why our health is important. Many autoimmune diseases and symptoms can be reversed just by eating healthier food.

What’s the one luxury you can’t live without?

My health. When I was your my luxury was different. As I have gotten older, I noticed that you’re wealthy at your healthiest.

My reason for saying this, is how can you take care of your luxuries or goals, if you aren’t at your best?

People as we grow, our views change. Our outlook becomes more realistic, and the simple things brings us joy.

Health is a luxury that many ignore until it’s too late. It’s never too late to change!

If humans had taglines, what would yours be?

I definitely think my tagline would be resilent. From overcoming sexual abuse and neglect by the age of three. Was given to my grandparents at the age of 4, and suffered from abandonment and confidence until I was late into my 30s. It’s true, a broken child does grow up to be a broken adult unless you get help. Took me many of years to realize that I had the ability to heal all this time. My faith has grown as well, because I couldn’t have gotten to this point without our Lord.

Resilent is overcoming obstacles that were meant to break me, and yet I’m still standing.

What are the most important things needed to live a good life?

In my household we live by 3 rules: Lord, Health, and Family.

The older I have gotten, things have changed. I need the Lord in this world of chaos, having good health is actually the greatest wealth of all, and my family. They supported me through life’s up and downs.

Progress is Progress

Losing weight is hard, but so is being over weight. I don’t like how society says we body shame, but truthfully its not shame. It’s truth. Being overweight for a long period of time, can cause your body to develop inflammation. If you can start grasping your weight early on, and start new habits. Your body will change.

I want to share a client who has lost 11 pounds in one month.

She is in a pageant this November, so we have started working on losing fat, and gaining muscle! Consistency has been key for her results! Great job! 👏🏼👏🏼

**if your an athlete, pageant participant, or just wanting a change, I can get you to your goals! **

Process of Change

Change isn’t easy for any of us, but we might want to consider changing our lifestyle habits, if it means prolonging our life.

Many of us, wait to change until its too late. We go all our lives eating whatever we please until we become over weight, or get diagnosed with an autoimmune.

What if I told you, that by changing your habits now can help you prolong all of the other stuff. By changing your habits means, eating more leafy green plants, and vibrant color vegetables. It means instead of staring at your phone for 2-3 hrs, you decide to go walk the dog, or stroll in the park. Whatever you decide to do, get your body to moving.

Our bodies aren’t meant to be stationary. Our ancestors were hunters and gathers, who walked miles to hunt or it meant they didn’t eat. Now days, society is making our generation more dependent and lazy. We don’t even have to go to the store anymore, they bring it to us.

These avenues are nice if they fit your life…Meaning no transportation or you’re disabled. We have made this society so lazy, that no wonder we are amongest the highest in obesity.

Obesity leads to other problematic issues such as inflammation. In which we go to the doctor to get medication for the pain instead of treating the root of the problem.

We have to do better in the health and wellness industry to spread awareness to those who might be taking medication to mask the pain. I been there too, so don’t worry.

Who do you spend the most time with?

Since my kids have gotten older, to the point I’ll be an empty nester next year. I have really valued my time alone.

I have endured more in my 45 years, than some people a whole life time. I think its really important to be able to self analyze yourself. Be accountable for your mistakes and wrong doings, and make a game plan of making it better.

I also value my time that I can talk to the Lord. I have grown in all areas in my life, especially in my faith. I pray daily for my adult kids, and this world.

I think once you become more aware with yourself, being alone starts becoming mandatory in your daily activities even if its for 15 minutes. It can do your body good!

Here is to another year…

Honestly as I sit back and think about my life. I have to admit I’m at the happiest and the healthiest I have ever been.

I say that, because at one point I wasn’t always this way. I suffered from an autoimmune and other conditions which decreased my quality of life. I found myself forced to resign from my job of 14 years, to get my health back. Doctors were advising me to be put on disability because of my condition. Which honestly, I felt 42 was too early to start labeling myself disabled.

I started at a local gym here in my hometown, and 3 1/2 years later I have been consistent Monday-Thursday at our 8:30 morning class. It slowly transformed my body and my health.

I received my certification as a personal trainer and a nutritionist because it’s personal to me. I am not only a life long learner of my own health problems, but it allows me to get on a level that many trainers can’t do, unless they themselves have a condition.

This year, I want to serve others who need my help on transforming their life. I’m passion about what I do, and want people to live happily like I am, after I got a grasp on my health.

It’s never too late!
